InterFACE Ministries is a national nonprofit organization of Christians dedicated to serving the international student community

Purpose statement: The purpose of InterFACE - South Florida is to be of service to international students and scholars and their needs. The following list of services is what we have done in the past or are continuing to do with the help of many volunteers.

Ft. Lauderdale Staff: Bill & Jenni Perry  

Bill & Jenni Perry are long time residents of South Florida where they are raising their family. Bill also is a researcher, strategist and creator of resources for international student ministries (ISM) in the US. He has 7 published titles since 1992, including "Storyteller's Bible Study" and "A Look Inside America." He speaks around the country at mission conferences and national conventions on a variety of topics related to ISM. Bill also directs and speaks at the Florida Christmas Conference  http://www.iface.org/fcc.htm an annual event held for international students and scholars between Christmas and New Year's in Central Florida. After two years of studying and researching ISM effectiveness and asking hard questions, Bill conceived a new model or approach to ISM called Recon. A significant departure from the way ISM is currently done, Recon could significantly change the landscape of college ministry in the years to come. The '05-'06 school year will be a year of component production with a goal to launch the new model in the summer of '06 for the '06-'07 school year. Bill and Jenni also invite groups of international students to "Tour Florida." They will work with campus ministry leaders around the country to customize a sightseeing trip for the group any time during the year. The tour typically includes host families in Ft. Lauderdale, optional talks by Bill who gently shares Christianity through low-key but engaging presentations, a daytrip to Key West, an airboat ride in the Everglades, a boat trip down the Intra-Coastal Waterway and New River, and 2 days in the Orlando area at world famous theme parks such as Magic Kingdom and EPCOT Center of Disney World, Universal Studies and/or Busch Gardens. All of these activities can be done in about 1 week's time, including travel to and from Florida, from most spots in the eastern US. Costs are for transportation, food, and entrance fees for sightseeing.

Relocation help in moving to South Florida—We can help you with many of the things you need to do to get settled in South Florida.

Community services referrals—Since we have lived in South Florida for decades, we can help you find many ethnic and American churches of all kinds.

American and ethnic church referrals—We can help you find many ethnic and American churches of all kinds.

Home Bible studies—We have developed three levels (introductory, beginner and advanced) of Bible study lessons that are easy to understand and helpful to virtually anyone interested in spiritual growth.

Short home-stay arrangements—Sometimes groups of international students/scholars travel through South Florida to sightsee. We can help find overnight housing for them.

NOTE: Most of these services are FREE! Any service that does have a cost will be advertised with the cost clearly stated ahead of time.

Like Florida "snowbirds", Bob and Colleen care for international students in Tampa FL from December to April and then relocate to Buffalo NY from May to November. They'll join "Uncle" Bob and the GO West tour this Aug 2-12.

Bob and Colleen also connect with many students in Binghamton, New York, Virginia, Iowa, Kentucky, Georgia, California and overseas.

Through local churches and universities they have many opportunities to teach English, Bibles studies, and offer various activities as part of the outreach to students.

Colleen has a powerful pray by phone service. Thanks to cell phones and Internet she assists many students through difficult times.
